Connect with your Travel Director and fellow travel companions this evening, kick-starting your adventure at a Welcome Reception.

Join your Local Specialist for a guided walking tour past Tinseltown's most famous icons: TCL Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. See the Hollywood sign and drive past Rodeo Drive, then spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Los Angeles – Santa Monica – Santa Barbara

Set your watch to Southern Californian time and head to Santa Monica for a brief brush with its beachy culture, before making your way up the coast to idyllic Santa Barbara. Discover the city's Spanish colonial heritage, winding past Mediterranean-style white stucco buildings with red-tile roofs - the Pacific on one side, the Santa Ynez Mountains on the other. Visit Mission Santa Barbara, one of the 21 missions founded by the Spaniards along El Camino Real. This evening, enjoy a Regional Meal dinner at a local restaurant.

Continue north to Paso Robles where we'll Connect with Locals on an olive farm. Stroll through the olive groves with a glass of local wine, learn about the process of making olive oil, then enjoy a delicious Be My Guest meal.

Monterey Sightseeing

Gain a deeper understanding of Monterey's strong coastal heritage during a tour of the Monterey Peninsula, featuring Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf, Pacific Grove and the famed 17-Mile Drive. View the iconic Lone Cypress Tree on the coast of Pebble Beach, before arriving in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The giant redwoods herald our arrival at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park where we'll enjoy a relaxed stroll. Dinner this evening is a Regional Meal enjoyed at a local restaurant.

Delve into the grassroots story of Earthbound Organic Farms in Carmel Valley, where we'll meet our Local Specialists for a tour and tasting and explore the difference between organic and conventional farming. Savour the leafy texture of freshly picked salads "grown and cultivated organically with care" before you ascend the western slopes of the Sierra Nevadas through Gold Rush country. Take a step back in time, passing Victorian-era townships and saloons, arriving in Yosemite late afternoon.

The UNESCO-listed Yosemite National Park takes centre stage today. We stop at the Giant Sequoias, dating back thousands of years, then board a valley floor tram tour with a national park Local Specialist. Discover the spectacular and wild landscape of Yosemite Valley, the misty splendour of Bridal Veil and the wonders of El Capitan and Half Dome. Reconnect with nature, spending your afternoon surrounded by pristine surrounds.

Mariposa – Napa and Sonoma Valleys – San Francisco (2 Nights)

Celebrate the vibrant wine country of Northern California, enjoying lunch at leisure in Napa's Oxbow Public Market. We join a Local Specialist for a rare opportunity to craft our own perfect combination of Carignane, Petite Sirah and Zinfandel at Ravenswood Winery. Crossing the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, arrive in San Francisco, our home for the next two nights.

San Francisco Sightseeing

Embark on an exploration of the 'City by the Bay' and its iconic sights, from Fisherman's Wharf and Golden Gate Park to fashionable Union Square. The colourful Farmer's Market is our final stop this morning where we can indulge in the Bay Area's best artisan foods and fresh farm produce. Spend the rest of the afternoon navigating the city's cosmopolitan neighbourhoods, then join your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.
