A Local Specialist, Fairbanks' Gold Daughters will guide you through the process of panning for gold in real Alaskan paydirt. Board the Riverboat Discovery, to hear tales of the Gold Rush and visit a recreated Athabascan Village. Later today, indulge in a salmon bake Regional Meal.

Admire the soulful expanse of Tanana River Valley, stretching hundreds of miles in every direction until it collides into the snow-capped peaks of Denali National Park. Touch the sky as you wind your way through this untamed wilderness to catch a glimpse of the 'Great One'. Denali – Alaska Railroad – Anchorage (2 Nights)

A leisurely start to our day sees us board the famous Alaska Railroad for the scenic journey south to Anchorage. Epic Alaskan landscapes provide an inspiring backdrop for expert insights into such icons as Hurricane Gulch and Indian River Canyon. Arriving in Anchorage, we enjoy an evening at leisure.

Anchorage Sightseeing

Explore Anchorage's historic downtown and view the scenic shores of Cook Inlet as you travel to a nearby local sports fishing hatchery where you'll learn about this complex process and its positive impact on the local communities. We'll visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center where you'll gain a deeper understanding of Alaska's 11 major cultural groups through storytelling and authentic demonstrations. Enjoy some free time to explore before joining your newfound friends at a Farewell Dinner.

Anchorage – Kenai Fjords National Park – Seward

We join a Local Specialist on a visit to a wildlife rehabilitation centre before embarking on a sightseeing cruise into the icy heart of Kenai Fjords National Park. Share the choppy waters with Humpback whales and glacial icebergs as you enjoy a lunch made with fresh, local ingredients. Our journey through the Alaskan wilderness at its end, we bid farewell to our newfound friends who will be joining the Glacier Discovery Cruise with Holland America Line.

Seward – Depart Anchorage

Spend a leisurely morning soaking up the last exquisite views of Resurrection Bay, before returning to Anchorage. Stops will be made at Anchorage International Airport and the Anchorage Marriott Downtown for guests extending their stay.
