Today, visit the Cosme Velho district where you will board a cogwheel train. Wind your way through the Tijuca Forest to the top of Corcovado Mountain. Disembark at the top of Corcovado Mountain to stand next to one of the Seven Modern World Wonders, Christ the Redeemer. From here you have unparalleled views of the "Marvellous City." After, drive along some of the most famous beaches in the world-Copacabana and Ipanema. The rest of the day is free.

Today, enjoy and explore. Maybe discover the charm and beauty of Santa Teresa, which originated around a convent during the 16th Century and is home to artists, galleries, museums and eateries, or relax on the beach. This evening, join your fellow travelling companions at a local churrascaria where meat is cooked in the churrasco style.

Rio de Janeiro – Iguassu Falls (2 Nights)

Fly from Rio de Janeiro to Iguassu Falls. Located where the Iguassu River empties its waters into the Parana River, the falls form the world's widest waterfalls and gives rise to the double border of Brazil and Argentina. Settle into your hotel this evening where dinner is served.

Iguassu Falls and Free Time

This morning, enter Iguassu National Park on the Brazilian side of the falls. Walk the catwalk that leads to the bottom of Devil's Throat, enjoying magnificent views. Your afternoon is at leisure. Consider several optional experiences for your leisure time: embark on the Macuco Safari for an exhilarating boat ride to the base of the falls or visit Bird Park, home to more than 900 native birds while walking through subtropical forests. For the more adventurous, consider aerial views of the falls from a helicopter flight.

Iguassu Falls – Buenos Aires (3 Nights)

Depart from your hotel with a quick customs stop. Cross the Tancredo Neves Bridge, the border between Argentina and Brazil. Once in Argentina, take a scenic drive up to the Argentinian Iguassu National Park. Visit the Argentinean Falls and visitor's center, then proceed to the river cascades and falls abroad the Ecological Jungle Train to the most impressive observation point, Devil's Throat. This afternoon, fly to Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires Sightseeing and Free Time

Today, see the famous 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest avenue in the world and pass by the beautiful Colon Theater, the cultural pride of Buenos Aires. Arrive at the main square, Plaza de Mayo, which is surrounded by the Government House and the first City Hall. Stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral before continuing on through San Telmo, a historical neighbourhood and the oldest district of Buenos Aires. Visit La Boca, a very colourful area of painted houses. Continue to Recoleta Cemetery, home to the grave of Eva Duarte, "Evita." This evening, enjoy dinner and a Tango show in historic Buenos Aires where the golden age of Tango shines once again. Experience the great Argentinean passion with a live orchestra and classic Tango dancers.

Set out into the city or join several optional excursions. Perhaps learn about the life of the Gauchos where you'll appreciate the charm of the Argentinean landscape as you travel to the Pampas. Round out your day in the countryside with a barbecue lunch, Argentinean wines, folk music, traditional dances and Gaucho games. Or consider an optional trip to Tigre and Delta Rio de la Plata, the aristocratic northern district of San Isidro. Enjoy a boat excursion around some of the stunning islands of this delta. Your Travel Director will be more than happy to help you decide.

Today, discover the famous Plaza Mayor and Cathedral. See the Government Palace, Archbishop's Palace and City Hall. Visit the San Francisco Monastery, an interesting museum featuring mysterious catacombs. Your afternoon is free. This evening, join your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a lively dinner at a local restaurant.

Lima – Cusco – Sacred Valley (2 Nights)

Take a morning flight to Cusco where you visit Sacred Valley. Stop at Awanakancha, a living museum where you can see llamas, alpacas, vicuñas and guanucos. Learn about the traditional weaving techniques of the locals before strolling through the famous Pisac Market. After lunch, settle into your hotel. This evening, join your new friends for dinner at a local restaurant.

Machu Picchu Excursion

This morning, transfer to Ollantaytambo to board your train to Aguas Calientes, the village at the feet of Machu Picchu. As you make your way through Sacred Valley, the train passes little villages and rugged mountains. Transfer to the shuttle system that completes your journey to the marvellous citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Return to Sacred Valley and share your impressions of Machu Picchu with friends over dinner.

Sacred Valley – Cusco (2 Nights)

This morning, visit Pablo Seminario's workshop. See beautiful pottery incorporating the techniques and styles of the ancient cultures of Peru. On the way to Cusco, visit a local home in Ollantaytambo, sampling the millenary beverage of the Incas at a chicheria and view the fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Once at your hotel, the evening is free.

Cusco Sightseeing and Free Time

Today, view Coricancha, also known as the "Temple of the Sun." Discover the Cathedral, considered the best repository of colonial art from Escuela Cuzquena, Cusco's School of Art. Walk through the Inca Street of Loreto, with its remarkable Incan wall construction. Discover the San Pedro market, known for its local products. Later this evening, join your Travel Director and travelling companions for dinner at a local restaurant featuring a folkloric show of song and dance.

Cusco – Julica – Puno and Lake Titicaca (2 Nights)

This morning, travel by boat toward the Uros Islands. The inhabitants of the lake, the Uros, live just as their ancestors did-upon islands made of reeds. Continue to the Island of Taquile where you'll experience a culture that thrives on stone and weaving. In the afternoon, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring foods from local growers and fish provided by the lake. Later this afternoon, return to the hotel for an evening of leisure.
